The most common implant-supported overdenture uses four implants per arch — a configuration that provides excellent stability while minimising surgical complexity and cost. In some cases, as few as two implants can anchor a lower denture, though four offers superior retention and load distribution. Many long-term denture wearers do experience jawbone resorption, but this doesn't automatically rule out implants.
